We don't need any characters around here to give the place atmosphere.

I understand that there are only four days left until I can spend like a banshee. But I was getting that red velvet cake look again so bad. Here I am this morning, pointing out my roots. Wait. I have a closer-up image. Get ready.

Seriously. I could not go another day with this hideous look. I had been trying to wait and not dye it out of a box, because I was getting so close to the end of the year. What is WITH me and the quick root growth? So, I called the hairdresser in Charlotte, where I got my hair cut last month, and they could see me TODAY. Perhaps someone here had already alerted them to the dire situation. So into my car I went.
And it only took two and a half hours and three processes! First, she had to put dye all over my ridiculous grays. Then she added highlights. Then she put toner on the ends. Oh, and then when that was all done she added toner overall.

Basically, it cost today what it would have if I'd have just gone ahead and had my hair professionally done three times this year.

Which as you can see, really annoys Winston.

WOW! It looks GREAT! YOU Look great! Did you have fun?

Sigh, I really need to do something but I didn't like the woman I went to last time. I hate finding new salons.

The hair looks fab! I too was amazed to go from Dallas prices to North Carolina prices! Crazy huh?

The roots in the first picture are totally overshadowed by the awesome shoes! So cute!

I like this post, because everyone keeps saying I am cute. Which works for me.

The jeans I have had alllllll year. Have worn them 75,000 times. The shoes are from my mother, bought for me in October. The sweater dress? A Christmas present, also from mom, who clearly is as sick of seeing me in the same clothes as everyone else.

P.S. It's nice of you all not to comment that my nose looks like an arrow. I wish we had saved enough for plastic surgery. Ugh.

Looks great! It must have felt strange to have someone else do it after all this time.

It looks SO good! Good for you. Now you'll feel cute for New Years. And I am green over that sweater dress. I tried on a black sweater dress at Banana Republic last Monday. Seeing that it was Christmas Eve, I decided I might out to wait on a $100 purchase for Moi.

But I can't stop thinking about the dress. And now that I see yours, I'm positive that I want it.

And look at you so hip and cool, wearing a sweater dress over jeans. I don't think I could pull that off.

June, you do look so pretty and I love arrow noses. Much better than a lightning bolt nose.

Your hair looks fantastic. Tell Winston to get his spotted ass over it.
