Yeah, but it's not all bad here

I left at 1:22 to mail a package. There were three people ahead of me in line.

I am home at 1:30. ONE-THIRTY! It took me eight minutes to go to the post office, wait in line, mail my package and drive home.

In LA it would have taken a week and a half.

Also, tonight is the Rotary Barbecue and Cow Bingo. I am afraid I bought us two tickets to said event, at 6 dollars a pop.

To play cow bingo, you select a square on the field, and if the cow poops on your square, you win $1,000. Everyone think positive, poopy thoughts about us!

  2. Eight minutes, huh?

Could you mail my Christmas presents for me? I can't wait to hear the report on the BBQ and cow bingo. It sounds like a rip-roaring night. Try to stay outta trouble.

  5. I am he hawing over this one. COW BINGO! I've NEVER heard of that before and I grew up in the south. Well, it was Atlanta, but surely some of my rural relatives would have told me about the cow bingo. LOL! I hope the cow poops on your square and the BBQ is good.

  7. I was gone for about a week and I've just spent the entire evening catching up on your blog! DEAR GOD, can't you go on vacation when I'm on vacation?

I fear that I am not Maria and I must have done something not good because Canada sure doesn't seem to like me. Maybe during one of my capers I stepped on Dudley's law-enforcer toes...? Maybe they think I'm Natasha?

I am glad to hear you may win 1000 dollars from poop. Kelly Garrett would be so pleased. And I was also wondering if you were working, or just blogging from work all day.

  8. I feel safely certain that neither the quick post office trip nor the poop bingo would EVER happen in LA. One good thing about local culture, eh?
